Georgian Cuisine

Georgian cuisine is very famous worldwide especially for its abundant ingredients like meat, cheese, spices and so on. One of the most famous Georgian food is khachauri, which is wide spread in the whole country, but it has some specific technique of preparing in different regions.The different types of khachapuri are as follows: Acharuli, Imeruli, Penovani and Megruli.
All four of these are named after the areas they originate from.

The pic on the left is "Megruli" xachapuri. It's like pizza with only cheese and tastes like heaven. The one on the right is Imeruli. It's like Megruli, but with cheese only inside and none on the outside.



Now Acharuli xachapuri is definitely the best thing ever. Life can be divided in two parts. Before and after Acharuli. When you taste this pastry of heaven, you will achieve nirvana and ascent into a higher plane. It also has cheese and egg in it.


Most people have eaten dumplings. However, khinkali is not just over-sized dumplings. It has its own texture and flavor. Plus, it has really tasty juice inside, which is lacking in dumplings. Anyone who visits Georgia must taste this dish and say that it tastes amazing, or risk the chance of being hunted down by the natives.
